Nine competition modes ready to use in one click from the setup wizard ("simple mode"), plus whatever the advanced phase builder offers by combining engines freely.
The nine predefined formats
- League — round-robin, with optional home-and-away. Standings by points with configurable tiebreaks.
- Knockout tournament — single-elimination bracket, with an optional third-place match. The next round is generated automatically once the previous one ends.
- Group + knockout — group stage followed by a knockout bracket; qualifiers advance to the bracket automatically.
- League + Playoffs — regular league phase followed by a playoff bracket among the top finishers.
- Americano — rotating pairs each round, every participant plays with everyone; minimum 4 players, no need for a multiple of 4. Common in social padel. Only available for sports played in sets (padel, tennis, pickleball...).
- Mexicano — pairs recomposed each round based on the live standings (1st and 4th vs. 2nd and 3rd). Same requirement: a set-based sport.
- Swiss system — pairs participants with similar scores each round while avoiding repeat opponents; ideal with many participants and few rounds.
- McMahon system — Swiss with an initial score based on level (seed band); standard in Go tournaments. See Chess and Go.
- Ladder — live standings driven by challenges between players, with no fixed round schedule.
Ladder: direct or with challenge
No matchdays or fixed calendar: the ranking updates instantly with an Elo rating system every time a match is played. The roster is never locked — anyone who wants to join can do so at any time, without waiting for a season to start. Two ways to record matches:
- Direct — only the organizer (or someone with permission) creates matches between entrants.
- With challenge — any entrant can challenge anyone else; the opponent has to accept before the match counts.
Advanced format: double elimination
Only available from the phase builder (not in simple mode): winners' and losers' brackets, you have to lose twice to be eliminated. It can be chained with any other phase just like the rest of the engines.
